Junior League
Banora Point Amigos, Burleigh Blades, Gold Coast Celtics, Heat Basketball Club, PBC Magpies, Pacific Pines Panthers, Somerset Spartans, (Somerset College students only) TSS Suns (TSS or St Hilda students only), Varsity Vipers, Kings Basketball Club (Kings Christian College students only), Central Stars, Lindisfarne Lions (Lindisfarne College students only).
Competitions are run for both boys and girls in the U10,12,14,16,18 and 21 age groups.
The purpose of the GCJBL is to provide a competition pathway for junior basketball players on the Gold Coast.
Junior Registration
All junior registrations are conducted through our clubs. Before registering please ensure you have been in contact with a club and that there is space in a team for your child.

When registering ensure that you use your correct email address, as this will be used as the primary source of contact from each club.
Please be mindful that all our clubs are run by volunteers.
Competition
Days & Venues
Our primary venues for our competition are Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre Hall 2, Tallebudgera Recreational Centre, Kings Christian College, and Somerset College. It is important to note that these venues are subject to change based on availability. Please keep this in mind when checking the fixtures.
Wednesday Night: 6pm – 10.30pm

Player Transfers
Once a player is named in a club team, they become ineligible to transfer to another club during the same season.
Competition Information
Winter Season
The Winter Season will start on February 14th, 2024 and will conclude on August 17th, 2024.
Our competition will have four grading rounds, followed by 14 regular season competition rounds. The top four teams in each competition will advance to the semi-finals, and only the winners of the semi-finals will proceed to the finals.

Summer Season
Our Summer Season will take place from October 9, 2024, to December 6, 2024. It will consist of 7 regular-season games and 1 final. The final standings will determine the matches for the finals: 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, and 7v8.
Our primary venues for the 2024 Summer Season are Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre Hall 2 and Tallebudgera Recreational Centre. Please note that these venues are subject to change based on availability, so please check the fixtures for any updates.
Please note the following:
– There will be no boys under 21 competitions during the 2024 Summer Season.
– Under 18 representative players from any association are not allowed to participate in the summer season.
– All top-age representative players must play in the next age group, which will be the same age group they will participate in the 2025 winter season.
– Players from representative teams are not allowed to play in under 10’s.
