Gold Coast Basketball through its affiliation with Basketball Queensland provide compulsory player injury insurance through Basketball Queensland with V-Insurance Group.

“Membership with Basketball Queensland includes cover under the Basketball Australia State and Territory National Insurance Program. This program is handled by V-Insurance Group (Corporate authorised representative of Willis) as our insurance broker.

Please note that insurance cover only applies to members who are involved in Basketball (i.e. Victoria) sanctioned competitions and activities. Members are not covered if they play in a non-affiliated basketball competition.”

Who should apply for a blue card:

• Coaches
• Assistant Coaches
• Managers
• Court Supervisors
• Referees

Gold Coast Basketball manages blue cards via the Blue Card Services Portal. To apply for a volunteer blue card follow the below steps:

1.  Create a Blue Card Service account – https://my.bluecard.qld.gov.au/login
   1. Please note your account number
2.  Prior to applying for a volunteer blue card your account will need to be linked to Gold Coast Basketball. To link your account please email your blue card account number and date of birth to Dillan at office@gccrba.com.au. You will be notified when your account is linked.
3. Once you receive notification your account is linked, you will be able to apply for a volunteer blue card via the blue card portal – https://my.bluecard.qld.gov.au/login

*If you already have a blue card it is still a requirement to have your card linked to Gold Coast Basketball. Please follow steps 1 & 2 above to have your card linked.
