Prep for Rep Mini Camps

Registrations for this program closed at 12pm on Thursday 14th November.

No late registrations will be taken under ANY circumstances, Gold Coast Basketball will not respond to any emails in regard to late registrations. 

Note if your child is not registered for this program they will not be in consideration for an U14 representative team this season.

Gold Coast Basketball are transitioning into a new representative trial format moving forward.

Please see the criteria below:

• Gold Coast Basketball “Prep for Rep” program will be run each term leading into the representative season for each age group.

• The “Prep for Rep” Program will serve as the trials for the age group, players will be selected into teams from this program, registration and attendance is compulsory for all players.

• We envisage there will be eight sessions run on Sundays each term for the “Prep for Rep” Program.

Information specific to age groups:U16, U18 Boys

• Registrations for Prep for Rep for the U16 and U18 Age groups are restricted to Division one, two and three players registered into club teams for the Gold Coast Junior Basketball Winter League only.

• Exemptions to this rule will only be accepted with supporting documents from the players club delegate.

U12, U14 Boys

• Players of all divisions are accepted for the Prep for Rep Program

Girls – All age groups

• There are no restrictions for girls

As we make this transition, our U14 age group selections have been adjusted due to court availability this term for the Prep for rep program.

There are three sessions remaining on the following dates:

Sundays – Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre 8.00am-10.00am

October 27^th. November 17^th, 24th

There will be a trial for this age group only, on an invitation only basis, dates of trials are listed below:

Tuesday 28^th January 2025

Thursday 30^th January 2025

To be eligible to trial for a Gold Coast Basketball U12 and U14 representative team, players must meet the following eligibility requirements:·     

• Players wishing to move from another association must meet the BQ Transfer Policy requirements information can be found HERE·     

• New players must have a completed transfer FORM·     

• All players must be registered with a Gold Coast Basketball Club and play in 50% of games in the 2025 Winter GCJBL season
