About the League
The Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL) is Australia’s premier national competition for elite female wheelchair basketball athletes. The WNWBL showcases the highest level of talent and competition in the sport, providing a professional platform for women with disabilities to excel. The league plays a crucial role in developing athletes for international representation, including at the Paralympic Games, and in promoting inclusion, equality, and visibility for para-sport across the country. The Gold Coast Rollers WNWBL team proudly plays its home games at the Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium, a premier venue equipped to host elite-level wheelchair basketball. Located in the heart of the Gold Coast’s sporting precinct, Carrara offers a vibrant atmosphere for fans, families, and the broader community to support the team and experience the action up close.

2025 Season Summary
The 2025 Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL) season marked a significant milestone for the Gold Coast Rollers, as the team proudly stepped onto the national stage to compete against Australia’s most established wheelchair basketball programs. Facing elite opposition including the Perth Wheelcats, Victoria Wonders, Sydney Blues, Adelaide Thunder and Sydney Uni Lions, the Rollers embraced the challenge with determination, gaining invaluable experience and accelerating athlete development within a high-performance, inclusive sporting environment.
Throughout the season, the team’s growth was clear and consistent. While the opening rounds tested the Rollers against seasoned competitors, improvements in teamwork, structure and scoring efficiency became increasingly evident. This progress culminated in a dominant July series against Adelaide, where the Rollers recorded three emphatic victories (72–32, 60–36 and 72–24), highlighting the rapid advancement of the program and the impact of sustained training and elite competition. The season concluded against the formidable Sydney Uni Lions, with the Rollers continuing to display resilience, confidence and an evolving offensive game.
Off the court, community support reached new heights, with home games at Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium attracting an average crowd of 200 spectators and online viewership peaking at 500 during Round Two. The 2025 squad represented the club with pride and professionalism, laying a strong foundation for future success as they look ahead to the 2026 WNWBL season.
