WNWBL Round 1 Update

The Gold Coast Rollers Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team has launched its 2026 Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL) season impressively, completing a clean sweep of Round One in Adelaide.
Competing in just their second season in the national competition, the Rollers demonstrated the passion, determination, and teamwork that continues to drive the program forward. The victories over Adelaide were a rewarding result for a squad that works tirelessly and highlighted the positive direction the team is heading.
As one of Australia’s newest WNWBL teams, the Rollers are continuing to establish themselves on the national stage. While the wins were a fantastic start to the season, the team remains committed to its broader mission of creating pathways for women in wheelchair basketball. The program provides opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level, inspire future players, and proudly represent the Gold Coast community.
